Boiler repair in Doncaster
Straight answer
BPHS repairs gas boilers across Doncaster and South Yorkshire. If you have no heating, a fault code, a leak, or the boiler keeps locking out, call 01302 490450. A Gas Safe engineer diagnoses on site and quotes before any repair. Do not keep hitting reset. If you smell gas, leave the property and call 0800 111 999 first.
Faults we see most in Doncaster
South Yorkshire winters are hard on ageing combis. These are the call-outs we get on repeat.
- No heating or hot water
- Boiler locked out / fault code on the display
- Kettling, banging or gurgling
- Leaking from the case or PRV
- Pilot or ignition failure
- Frozen condensate pipe after a frost
Repair or replace?
If the boiler is over 10–12 years old, parts are scarce, or the heat exchanger has gone, a repair can cost more than it is worth. We quote both options. See our new boiler page if you already know it is time.
People also ask
Why is my boiler not working?
Common causes are low pressure (below 1 bar), a frozen condensate pipe in a cold snap, a tripped switch, the programmer in summer mode, or an internal fault such as a pump, diverter valve or PCB. Check power, thermostat and pressure first. If it still will not fire, you need a Gas Safe engineer.
Can you repair my boiler the same day in Doncaster?
Often yes, if we have the part on the van. We carry common parts for Worcester, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi and similar. If a part has to come in, we isolate it safely and book the return before we leave.
How much is a boiler repair in Doncaster?
Attendance follows our call-out and labour rates. Simple faults can be done in the first hour. Parts are extra. A repair that is not worth it against a new boiler is something we will say out loud before you spend the money.
Is it illegal to repair a gas boiler yourself?
You must not work on the gas-carrying parts unless you are Gas Safe registered. You can check power, thermostats and (on many combis) top up pressure via the filling loop. Anything inside the case is an engineer’s job.
My boiler keeps losing pressure. What does that mean?
Repeated pressure loss usually means a leak on the system, a faulty pressure relief valve, or a leaking heat exchanger. Topping it up once is fine. Topping it up every week is a fault — book a repair.
